Mentor-Leaders
Nine mentor-leaders, chosen from among teacher participants in WTMA1 and WTMA2, serve as founding members of WTMA3′s Lesson Study Design Team program. The mentor-leaders participate in all LSDT programming, as well as doing advanced study in curriculum development and lesson study under the guidance of world-renowned Professor Bob Bain of the University of Michigan. With that experience, they take on leadership roles both within the project — by leading sessions of Meet the Scholars, conducting class- and school-wide History Day programs, and supporting new LSDT members — and outside, where they may do professional development workshops in district and statewide forums, publish their work, or take on other roles sharing their expertise.
